Defending Otis is an acoustic rock band from southern Ontario.

Formerly an electric rock trio, Michael Pursley (lead vocals/rhythm guitar) joined forces with Lee Tessmer (lead guitar/keys) in 2007 to record the EP ‘Love, Lies and Fireflies’ - a powerful collection of ballads and rhythmic rock songs.

In January 2011, Defending Otis  released their first full length album, Lost Travellers. “We’re extremely proud of this record,” said Pursley. “It’s the album we always knew we could make. A true reflection of where we are both personally and musically, while shedding light as to where we’re heading as a group.”
